C. Bruce Hamburg, who is a registered U.S. patent attorney, handles all aspects of U.S.
patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition and Internet law. Mr. Hamburg
has handled the filing and prosecution of thousands of patent and trademark applications.
He is also registered as a patent attorney in Canada and files and prosecutes applications in Canada through a Canadian associate. (Some foreign associates entrust Mr. Hamburg with filing, maintaining and prosecuting counterpart Canadian and U.S. patent applications
because it is efficient to have the Canadian prosecution mirror the U.S. prosecution.)
Mr. Hamburg has guided patent, trademark and copyright litigation by the firm. He has
rendered many formal opinions and counseled clients regarding routine and complex intellectual property matters. He also has negotiated and drafted license agreements.
He began his career as an examiner in the U.S. Patent Office, where he received
Superior Performance Awards.
